The Diocese of San Isidro is an ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Catholic Church in Costa Rica. Its headquarters is located in the canton of Pérez Zeledón, in the city of San Isidro.
Regarding transportation, buses and taxis connect different places, and there are airports and small planes. The people of our diocese are simple and humble (most of them are from rural areas markedly peasants).
Bishop Monsignor Gabriel Enrique Montero Umaña
He was ordained a priest on August 16, 1973. On December 24, 2013, Pope Francis appointed him as the IV Bishop of San Isidro of El General, receiving his episcopal ordination on March 1, 2014, at the Cathedral of San Isidro, presided by Monsignor Guillermo Loría Garita.
