"He saw and believed"

Gospel according to John 20, 2-8

Reading, what does the text say?

On the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene ran to meet Peter and the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken the Lord from the tomb and we do not know where they have placed him."
Peter and the other disciple went out and went to the tomb.
Then came the other disciple, who had come before the tomb: he also saw and believed.

Meditation, what does God tell us in the text?

In the text we see attitudes and feelings of doubt, hope, disbelief, something unexpected and finally a confidence and joy in the face of what they supposed lost. They even though they saw many extraordinary things that Jesus did and that he told them what would happen, they still did not believe him and did not understand. Jesus represents everything we believe in, we have confidence, we love because he gives us, he transmits something that leaves us in peace, satisfied What value do I give to that, not material that gives me peace, joy, stability? We all suffer losses and with it come the doubts, the sadness, the doubts, the difficult moments, before them.
Do I keep hope, trust that everything will go well? When I see miracles that happen, not in my person but in others. I also believe in them and that can also happen in me?

Prayer, what do we say to God?

My God, in many times I am like Juan and like Pedro, I know your power and everything you are capable of doing and I say that I believe, but when the difficult moments come, until I see wind in my favor I do not believe, but I am also like Mary Magdalene who in spite of everything I keep a little hope and I keep looking for you. Help me believe and have more hope in you.
