The Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his Name.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones and has lifted up the lowly.

Today, Mary has shown us that Joy and gratitude to God are two values that have the highest value and importance, attitudes that do not appear very important to the eyes of our world, but to the eyes of God, they are the most precious to him. In this world, many measure saying “Tell me how much you have and I will tell you who you are,” and this refers to the material world, belittling the true cost of life. It is true that among those that have “power” (money, wisdom, leadership, etc.), some have been able to understand that what is truly worth it, as well as those that don’t. This life is transitory and we should go “paying” to get to God.
When I see or feel that the Lord acts in my life, do I feel full of joy and thank him for what he’s done in me? How do I show my joy and gratitude to God? Only in prayer? Do I understand that humility exists in the rich and the poor? What is it that I should be saving, accumulating to enter the kingdom of God?
