Meditatio: What is God saying to you through the text?

Today’s passage is marked by “Joy” and being “Blessed,” the two states or attitudes that we would always desire to have. Sometimes this depends on factors close to us or other external factors, like we see in the image of this text “When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leapt in her womb,” that is to say, the good news. What is good news? What news is good? To have money or not to have problems? We have to also highlight “heard” and “believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled,” which is to say to hear and to trust. Sometimes, in this dynamic world, we have to have our feet on the ground, like Saint Thomas “to no believe it until we see it.” There are so many distractions, so many forms of indifference, so much to satisfy pleasures, that we are trapped in them, and they have made us earthly, mundane and what we should truly hear and believe is not important any more. That is to say, to some degree, we are culpable. We have fallen into this system. Can you distinguish when you hear something bad or something good what God wants you to do? How often do I hear and believe in God, in the true good?
After the message of this text, what is your meditation, your personal reflection?

Oratio: What do you say to God?

Lord, I’m not always happy or joyful like Mary or Elizabeth. I believe that there is no complete happiness or joy, especially in this world where we are constantly disturbs us, distracts us, and make us believe that to be happy and joyful, we need to conquer grand things to temporarily satisfy our feelings, but not to the depth so that they produce a lasting joy and happiness. Help me to understand and understand the true meaning of happiness and joy that come from hearing and believing in you.
